Today....

Today we went to town to get a few things. We took mum, who was in the grumpiest of moods, as she hates going out, and her legs hurt(wont use a wheelchair either)!. Shame about this, as she can't be left alone, so we have to deal with it, or not go out........well, there are other options that I may persue yet.

I bought two sets of dowsing rods on ebay for C and I, and may give her them before her birthday in the middle of November, as they are such fun to use and a great unusual skill. We shall go up to the castle and see what we can find. Apparently, there is a cold spot there and I know exactly where it is now! The castle is pulling me for some reason, so I will go asap. Never know, may find a knight in shining armour thereabouts!! Also we will pick all the damsons we can up there, that otherwise will go to waste, then make lots of jam in the breadmaker when we get back!

C has a favourite food....smoked salmon, cream cheese and bagels! Wonder where she developed those tastes, eh??!!!!

We have finished Ingo, and are now on The Tide Knot! All those pages of reading aloud.......and C has the sore throat!

That's all for today!

Ingo

Before sleeping, it was 3 chapters last night! On waking, it was 3 chapters and at lunch time it was 2 chapters! Yes, I know that Ingo is Ciara's beloved book!(Plus she fancies Faro)! Tonight we will have got at least half-way through.....and thank goodness I bought the sequel, The Tide Knot! ( we are also learning about homophobes at the same time) ! Learning can, and is fun!
The piano lesson went really great too, Ciara swoons over the classical pieces!

More tomorrow!

The Bothy by the castle

View over fields from below the castle ruins. The day was a misty moisty autumnal afternoon......
A bothy with living roof! Legend has it that the castles' owner's daughter lives here? Is there room for my strawbale house in the creepy woods of the grounds??
Interesting tree roots....... Do you see the woodland elf in the top left-hand corner?
C on the first steps to the ruins. If you look through the castle arch, it looks surreal.....prolly my cheap camera?

We got muddy and it was great fun!

Got that meeting overwith!

Earlier I had a meeting with the manager who is over-seer to some of the council's bloopers! C entertained him with some classical piano before we started off! I was assertive and can honestly say there were some points where he totally agreed with me! Without sounding boring, they will be correcting details and then check with me first, before sending info across the pond!

I ordered Ingo and the sequel, The Tide Knot, for C, as she loved being read to when she was away in Shropshire with her friends! She loves mermaids on their adventures.....

Found these amusing

Are you eating at McDonalds today?

My trip to do NLP

I have returned from Birmingham. Got back last night about 10pm.

Firstly. I want to tell you that the NLP course was well worth doing! I learnt alot of new skills, some of which are still filtering through! I have used NLP already this morning, whist chatting to my distraught old mum who is in respite till next Tuesday! When we ended our conversation, she was in a much better frame of mind......oh I LOVE the way I could change her thoughts of despair and abandonment, (and not compromise the rest of my time off)! I could see in my mind's eye, her eye movements, as I sent her in another direction....... I must say many thanks Jo, John and John, for your help in setting me on a new course of discovery and adventure, and your great sense of humour! It has been a long time since I have been in such crowded places out of my comfort zone for sure, and am glad that bit is over........

My appreciation to V and the girls for taking care of C so well and the field trips, which she loved! C did extremely well for being away from me for the first time, and I am really proud of her!

Reality bites........ On returning to my house, I found B inside........he had broken a back window to get in......so more on this subject matter soon..........thank goodness I can disassociate myself!
